OUR QUILT CAMP:

Held three (3) times per year.
We rent Tecumseh City Hall for a three-day event from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm
each day. We take our machines and necessary sewing items, projects, fabric
and patterns. We share ideas, sew, visit and eat lots of delicious food. There is a
vendor at each camp with fabrics, notions, patterns, etc for purchase. Remember
to take all dishes home and to clean up after yourself. Start planning your list of
items to bring like: extension cords, iron and ironing board and cutting items. You
might want to bring your own chair. The City Hall provides tables and chairs but
yours might provide more comfort. Cost is $30.00 for 3 days. If you can only
attend one day the fee is $15.00. You don’t want to miss out. Start planning
today.

July 9, 10, & 11
Oct. 22, 23, & 24

Darla Sez:

“Great quilt camp!”  I was very happy to see a good turnout.  There was lots of
food and good help for those that needed it.  Now we will need lots of help with
the Quilt Show this fall.  I’m so excited to be here at quilt camp that I can’t think of
anything further to say.  Our next Quilt Camp is in July.  See you all there.

BABY QUILT NEWS:

1) Ladies and Gentlemen, there has been only one baby quilt turned in since
November.  Let’s all work on our quilts and get them in soon.        Dee Cobb

2) Anyone who has been making quilts for sale to the Original Pancake House,
please get the quilts to Betty Bailey by Wednesday, March 10, 2010.  She will
take them down to Dallas when she goes to the Quilt show on the 12th.

Also, please realize that Betty does not make the decision as to whether quilts go
to the Pancake House or one of our charitable organizations.  We present the
quilts to Judy and Mark, and if they are not chosen for the Pancake House, the
will go to one of our local charities.  Either way, they are greatly appreciated.
thank you for your support.

You know you are a quilt addict when:

        There is more fabric in the house than food
        “Fat Quarter” isn’t the heaviest part of your body
        Your ironing board is always up, but you never iron clothes
        You think your job is an interruption of your quilting time
        You pet your fabric
        People pick thread off of you
        You can “eyeball” a ¼ inch
        “Featherweight” is not a boxer
        UFO’s are not from outer space
        You clean up your sewing room and everyone thinks you are leaving

Let us all give our newest member Courtney Curtis who is 11½ a very big
WELCOME!

Courtney has been sewing for three years and is working on her third quilt.  She
has pieced 3 tops, but has, as yet, not sandwiched and quilted one.  She is a
Gifted and Talented and Honor Student in school.  She collects Bobble Heads
and is an avid animal lover.

Her favorite color is Pink.
